U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force has announced 11 contests for the 2018 men’s soccer spring schedule. The Falcons will host six events at USAFA and will see action in four road contests, all capped off by the annual USAFA Alumni game, Apr. 28, at the Academy.
The spring slate will be kicked off with a Blue & Silver exhibition match, Feb. 24, at USAFA. A second Blue & Silver match will be played on Apr. 14. Both matches are slated for 10 a.m. starts.
On Mar. 3, the Falcons will host Denver-based Major League Soccer team, the Colorado Rapids, at the Academy. Admission to the MLS event at USAFA will be free. The following weekend, Mar. 11, Air Force will travel to Weidner Field on the east side of Colorado Springs to take on the hometown Switchbacks of the United Soccer League.
On Mar. 17, Air Force will travel to San Diego to play a double header against the University of San Diego and San Diego State, at noon and 5 p.m. (PT), respectively.
The Falcons will split the squad on Apr. 7 to take on the Colorado School of Mines at USAFA and the New Mexico Lobos in Albuquerque, N.M.
On Apr. 21, the team will split again to host the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs at the Academy while the varsity squad travels to Denver to take on the University of Denver, at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
