Ben Chavez and Brian Klazura scored and Kevin Durr had two assists to lead the Air Force men's soccer team to a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over #22 CSU Bakersfield Sunday at Cadet Soccer Stadium. The victory clinched second place in the MPSF's Mountain Division and a spot in the MPSF postseason tournament for Air Force, which improved to 10-5-2 overall and 4-3-2 in league play. The Roadrunners fell to 10-3-4 and 6-3.

Richard Menjivar put the Roadrunners ahead 1-0 in the 23rd minute after taking a centering pass from Jesus Sanchez and placing a 12-yard shot past Air Force goalie Matt Underwood.

Chavez notched the equalizer with just 1:38 remaining in the first half. Kevin Durr started the play with a free kick into the box that Conor Henry touched to the left side of the net and Chavez fired a rocket from about 10 yards out past CSUB keeper Eric Shannon.

Durr then posted his second assist of the day and 10th of the season just over three minutes into the second half when he sent a corner kick into the box and Klazura, who flew in from the right side, cleanly headed it past Shannon for the game-winner, his team-high third of the season.

The Falcons played the final 33 minutes a man up after the conference's leading scorer, Gyasi Zardes, earned a red card after a hard foul on AFA's Eric Tise behind the play. Zardes was held to just one shot by the aggressive Air Force defense before being sent off.

The Falcons outshot CSU Bakersfield 16-13 overall and held a 10-5 advantage in shots on goal. Air Force freshman Zachary Modly and CSUB's Lucas Dall'Orso led all players with four shots apiece.
