Air Force Battles Sacramento State to Scoreless Draw

The Air Force men's soccer team moved into sole possession of second place in the MPSF Mountain Division with a scoreless tie Sunday at Sacramento State. The Falcons, who had been tied with Denver for second place, moved to 8-5-2 overall and 2-3-2 in the MPSF, while Sacramento State is now 7-6-2 and 3-3-1 in league play.

Sacramento State had a 17-13 edge in shots and a whopping 9-2 advantage in corner kicks but the Falcons placed six shots on goal, compared to only three for Sacramento State.

Air Force goalkeeper Matt Underwood tallied his third shutout of the year with three saves, while Sacramento State keeper Bryan Oliver recorded his second shutout of the season

Air Force returns home next weekend for a pair of games at Cadet Soccer Stadium, beginning on Friday, Oct. 28 against Seattle University at 7 p.m.
