Junior Steven Noller scored for the second straight game and freshman Zach Brinlee notched the first goal of his career Sunday to lead the Air Force men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Army and claim the title at the BSC Armed Forces Classic in Birmingham, Ala. The Falcons, who defeated Navy, 1-0, on Friday, improved to 2-5 this season, while Army fell to 1-6.

Noller scored an unassisted goal to break a scoreless tie in the 22nd minute, placing a shot past Army goalie A.J. Glubzinski. Brinlee made it 2-0 when he tallied his first collegiate goal in the 41st minute. Sophomore John Tilton and junior Josh Rhynard were each credited with an assist on the play. It was Tilton's first point of his career.

The Falcons allowed their only goal of the weekend when Army's Peter Campbell beat Air Force goalie Jim Gullo in the 53rd minute after receiving a pass from Cole Dietz. Gullo made two saves in preserving the second victory of his career and two field players each saved a shot for the Falcons.

Air Force held a 13-11 advantage in total shots and 9-5 in shots on goal. Glubzinski made seven saves for Army.

The Falcons return to action next Saturday, Sept. 27 against UC Davis in Davis, Calif.
