Brandon Jones enters his first season as an Air Force men's soccer assistant coach. He has spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach for the Air Force Academy women's soccer team.
A 2002 Academy graduate, Jones was a standout midfielder for the Falcons from 1998-2001. A four-year letterwinner and three-year starter, Jones was an all-Midwest Region selection his senior year as well as the team's Most Valuable Player. He helped lead the Falcons to an 11-5-1 record and a ranking of #19 in the country in 2001. Jones also trained with the Colorado Rapids of the MLS in 2000.
After graduating from the Academy with a bachelor of science degree in economics, Jones spent his first assignment at the Space and Missile Systems Center at Los Angeles AFB. He served three years as a cost analyst for the Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle Program Office.
Although Jones completed his collegiate career in 2002, he continued to play soccer as a member of the All-Air Force team in 2002 and 2003. He helped the All-Air Force team to an interservice championship in 2002 and was chosen team captain in 2003. Jones was selected for the All-Armed Forces team in both years, where he traveled to Barbados to compete against the military teams from Canada and Barbados.
