James Gullo Named MWC Scholar-Athlete

Goalkeeper James Gullo has been selected to receive a 2007-08 Scholar-Athlete Award from the Mountain West Conference. A total of 506 student-athletes received the highest academic honor bestowed by the conference. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition in an NCAA-sponsored sport.

Air Force Men's Soccer Recruiting Announcement

Due to the Air Force Academy appointment process, names of incoming freshmen (including recruited athletes) will not be released until they arrive on campus this summer. In addition, athletic department staff and coaches may not comment publicly on recruited athletes until the prospect has accepted a USAFA appointment in writing.

Brian Guyette Named All-American by NSCA

Air Force senior goalie Brian Guyette was recently honored by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) with its annual All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year award. The award recognizes student-athletes' dedication to strength training and conditioning.

Three Falcons Earn Men's Soccer All-Conference Honors

Air Force Shuts Out UNLV, 1-0, in Season Finale

Two goals in the 88th minute propelled the 24th-ranked University of New Mexico men's soccer team a 2-0 victory Friday evening over Air Force at Cadet Soccer Stadium. Justin Davis and P.J. Falcons Host UNM, UNLV in Final Two Games of Season

The Air Force men's soccer team plays its final games of the 2007 season this weekend at Cadet Soccer Stadium. The Falcons host nationally ranked New Mexico on Friday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m., then UNLV on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m., in the season finale. The senior class will be honored in a pre-game ceremony on Sunday. The Class of 2008 includes Brian Guyette, Andy Nigro, Jason Belvill, Ian Hauck, Steven Locker and Chris Mathews. [+]
