    Head Coach Capt. Justin Broughton

    Capt. Broughton enters his third year as head rifle coach for the Air Force Academy's highest ranked Division I NCAA team. Capt. Broughton comes from a distinguished collegiate shooting career and is also currently a member of the U.S. Air Force International Rifle Team. A 1994 graduate of the Air Force Academy, Broughton was a four-year varsity rifle letter winner, 1993-1994 team captain, and a 1994 All-American. He has coached the Academy's rifle team to two NCAA tournaments and has kept them ranked in the top ten. In addition, he has helped many members of the rifle team reach goals of trying out for the Olympics.

    Before coaching at the Academy, Broughton was a Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) operator at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. While at Minot, Broughton completed 245 alerts and earned the titles of Instructor and Evaluator.
