    Second Lieutenant Kevin Mandrik is returning this year as assistant coach. He is a four-year veteran of the USAFA rifle team and was last years team captain. Mandrik is currently a member of the Air Force International Rifle team and works as a weather officer. Mandrik was been picked by his peers to become the Air Force’s team captain during his senior year at the Academy. His display of hard work and dedication spread throughout the team. Mandrik was a walk-on his freshman year and won the most- improved award. From there he steadily improved and finished up the 1999-2000 season strong shooting a personal best of 1148 in smallbore. At the collegiate sectional he had another personal best with a 382 in air rifle, the second highest at the sectional.
