U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. – In conjunction with the Falcon Lacrosse Alumni Weekend the Air Force lacrosse team will host a pair of matches over the weekend.
The Falcons will take on the University of Tokyo in exhibition play, Friday, Sept. 22, at 4:00 p.m. MT, at the Cadet Lacrosse Stadium. The following morning, Sat., Sept. 23, the Air Force alumni game will be played at 10:00 a.m., also at Cadet Lacrosse Stadium.
Following the alumni game, the 2017 lacrosse team will be honored at the Air Force and San Diego State football game for their second-straight Southern Conference championship victory. The Falcons have won two-straight SoCon championships and three conference championships in the last four years (ECAC 2014, SoCon 2016, 2017); earning NCAA bids for each championship won. In 2016 the Falcons earned their first-ever first round bid into the NCAA tournament, repeating the feat again in 2017. The 2017 Air Force team is the program’s most successful team to date. Eric Seremet’s Falcons are 27-9 overall, with a 13-1 mark in league play, since joining the SoCon in the 2016 season. Air Force returns eight-of-ten starters from last season; including two-time All-American and two-time SoCon Offensive Player of the Year in senior attackman, Chris Walsch.
