Andrew Olsen Named MWC Scholar-Athlete

Colorado Springs, Colo. - Lacrosse player Andrew Olsen was one of 506 individuals named a Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete, as announced by the league Monday afternoon. Olsen, a native of Salt Lake City, Utah, graduated from the Academy last month with a 3.52 GPA in civil engineering.

The MWC Scholar-Athlete Award is the highest academic honor bestowed by the Conference. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition in an NCAA-sponsored sport.
