USAFA, Colo. - Air Force senior lacrosse player Michael Curran has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District men's at-large team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). A first-team selection, Curran will be on the ballot for Academic All-America honors, which will be announced next month.
Curran, a native of North Brunswick, N.J., carries a 3.67 grade point average as a management major. He played in 11 games for the Falcons in 2014 as a reserve midfielder, scoring four points, including a career-best three assists. A four-year letterwinner for the Falcons, Curran is a two-time ECAC All-Academic honoree and three-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete (with 2014 honors pending). Additionally, he was named the Outstanding Cadet in Management (the largest major at the Academy) for the class of 2014, ranking first out of 173 cadets.
Also named to the Capital One Academic All-District men's at-large team for Air Force was senior hockey player Adam McKenzie, while senior diver Rachel Kennedy was named to the Capital One Academic All-District women's at-large team.
