The Air Force men's lacrosse team will continue league play this weekend when it hosts Great Western Lacrosse League (GWLL) opponent Denver. The Falcons will play the Pioneers on Saturday, April 17th, in their final home game of the season.

It will be Senior Day for the Falcons, as the lacrosse program will honor 13th seniors who will graduating from the Academy in May.

"It is the largest graduating class in my tenure," head coach Fred Acee said. "We will be losing some solid players, players who have been with us for four years and have helped make this program successful."

The Falcons will look to build on the momentum gained from last week's win over league foe Fairfield. After winning their first two games, they lost their next five games before snapping the streak with a 12-6 win over Fairfield. The Falcons are 3-5 overall and 1-1 in the GWLL.

Air Force is 51-9 all-time against Denver. Last year, the Falcons lost to the Pioneers 9-5 on the road. Their last win over Denver came at home in 2002, when Air Force notched a 6-5 upset.

Freshman Will Meister leads the team with 18 points on eight goals and a team-high 10 assists. Freshman Justin Kuchta is the team's leading goal scorer with 13 goals. Greg Dangler has 14 points, second most on the team. Goalkeeper Justin Pavoni is ranked sixth in the nation in save percentage (.639) and 16th in goals against average (7.98).

Notre Dame, with a 6-3 record, is ranked 18th in the nation.
