CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Air Force sophomore Tommy McKee has been named the ECAC Lacrosse League Co-Offensive Player of the Week, as released by the league on Monday. It marks the first career weekly award for McKee, and the fourth for an Air Force player this season.
An attack from Holt, Mich., McKee helped lead the Falcons to their first ECAC victory of the season on Sunday, registering a career-high seven points in Air Force's 12-8 win over Bellarmine. McKee, who tallied a season-best five goals and a career-high-tying two assists, notched the Falcons' final two scores of the game, including one with just nine seconds on the clock, to ice Air Force's victory over the Knights.
Sharing offensive player of the week honors with McKee was Ohio State's Dominique Alexander, while Loyola's Jack Runkel was named defensive player of the week, Denver's Ryan LaPlante was named rookie of the week and Fairfield's Michael Roe was tabbed the specialist of the week.
The Falcons close out their 2012 home slate this weekend, April 14, when they host 17th-ranked ECAC foe Fairfield in a 12:00 p.m. contest.
