USAFA, Colo. - Senior lacrosse player Mike Crampton was named the Air Force Co-Athlete of the Week on March 31, following his performance in Air Force's win over Michigan this past weekend.
For the second-straight week, Crampton, a native of Kinnelon, N.J., led the Falcons' offense with seven points, tallying four goals and three assists in Air Force's 15-12 win over ECAC foe Michigan on Saturday. Crampton completed a hat trick in the first four minutes, while scoring the eventual game winner late in the third quarter.
With his performance, Crampton reached 101 goals for his career, tying with Tom Sexton for 10th all-time in school history. Additionally, Crampton is the first Falcon since 1994 to score 100 career goals in his career.
Crampton shared Air Force Athlete of the Week honors with baseball player Griffin Jax, who threw a four-hit shutout in the Falcons' 5-0 win over New Mexico on Saturday.
