The Falcons posted a 2-0 record at the Frontier Airlines Face-Off Classic, hosted by the University of Denver. Air Force earned a 10-8 victory over Canisius on Saturday, while knocking off 12th-ranked Lehigh, 15-10, on Sunday.

Meanwhile, against the Mountain Hawks, junior Tommy McKee tallied a game-high four goals, classmate Mike Crampton added three goals and two assists and freshman Christopher Allen recorded his first career hat trick to pace the Falcons' offense. In addition, senior goalkeeper Austin Fox notched a season-best 14 saves in the win over Lehigh.

Air Force, receiving votes in this week's USILA coaches poll and the Nike/Inside Lacrosse media poll, currently holds a 4-1 record on the year following its performance at the Frontier Airlines Face-Off Classic last weekend.

The Falcons' offense is led by junior captain Mike Crampton, who has registered 18 points (13g, 5a) on the season, while classmate Tommy McKee has recorded a team-best 14 goals. Junior Erik Smith has added 13 points (9g, 4a), while sophomore Keith Dreyer leads the team with eight assists. Smith also leads the Falcons with 32 ground balls, while senior goalie Austin Fox has recorded 55 stops between the pipes.

First-year program Marquette enters Saturday's game with an 0-1 record after dropping its season opener to Ohio State, 18-10. Tyler Melnyk, Connor Bernal and Bryan Badolato each scored two goals in their team's opening game to pace the Golden Eagles' offense, while Cullen Cassidy won 12-of-24 face-offs against the Buckeyes.

Four Air Force players were named to the Frontier Airlines Face-Off Classic, as the Falcons posted a 2-0 record on the weekend. Representing Air Force on the all-tournament team were junior attack Tommy McKee, junior midfielder Erik Smith, freshman defenseman Alex Warden and senior goalkeeper Austin Fox.

McKee scored five goals on the weekend, including a game-high four in the Falcons' upset win over Lehigh on Sunday, while Smith added five points (3g, 2a) and a team-high 12 ground balls, as well as a .615 winning percentage at the face-off X. Warden helped anchor the Falcons' defense, picking up six ground balls and scoring his first career goal, while Fox registered 26 saves in two games, including a season-high 14 stops versus Lehigh on Sunday.

Junior Bryan Price was named the ECAC Lacrosse League Specialist of the Week on Feb. 25 for his performance at the Frontier Airlines Face-Off Classic. It was the first career weekly award for Price and the first award for an Air Force player this season.

Price was the Falcons' leader at the face-off X for the weekend, winning 15-of-23 draws (.652) in two games. His standout performance came in Air Force's win over Canisius on Saturday, as he won 9-of-10 faceoffs in the game. Price, who also picked up nine ground balls on the weekend, added his first career goal on Sunday versus Lehigh, the score which proved to be the game-winner against the 12th-ranked Mountain Hawks.

With its pair of victories over the weekend, Air Force improved to 4-1 on the season, marking its best start since the 1997 season. In addition, the Falcons are on their longest winning streak since winning four in a row in 2009.

Air Force's win over Lehigh marked its first victory over a top-15 team since 2007, when the Falcons earned a 9-8 home win over No. 9 Notre Dame.

So far this season, four different players have registered hat tricks, led by juniors Tommy McKee and Mike Crampton with three each. McKee has recorded three goals against North Carolina and four goals against both High Point and Lehigh. Meanwhile, Crampton tallied four goals against High Point and three scores versus Rutgers and Lehigh. Crampton now has a team-best 11 hat tricks for his career, while McKee is second on the team with nine career hat tricks.

In addition, sophomore Keith Dreyer and freshman Christopher Allen both recorded hat tricks this past weekend. Dreyer scored a team-leading three goals in the Falcons' win over Canisius, marking the fourth hat trick of his career, while Allen tallied his first career hat trick with three goals versus Lehigh on Sunday.

Junior Mike Crampton has scored at least one goal in 20 straight games, dating back to the 2011 season. He currently holds the fourth-longest goal scoring streak among active Division I players.

Air Force begins its ECAC slate next Saturday, March 9, when it visits Bellarmine in a 12:00 p.m. (ET) contest.
