Crampton Named ECAC Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Air Force senior Mike Crampton has been named the ECAC Lacrosse League Offensive Player of the Week, as released by the league today. It marks the second career weekly award for Crampton, and the first for an Air Force player this season.
Crampton, a native of Kinnelon, N.J., was named to the Frontier Airlines Face-Off Classic all-tournament team this past weekend after leading Air Force with nine points (7g, 2a) in two games. He was the leading scorer for the Falcons against Canisius with two goals, while finishing with seven points in the win over Marist, including a career-high five goals. With his performance, Crampton became the leading career goal scorer in the Falcons' modern era with 88 career goals.
Other ECAC honorees this week included Fairfield's Jack Murphy, who was tabbed the defensive player of the week and Michigan's Brad Lott, who was named the specialist of the week. Meanwhile, Tucker Ciessau of Bellarmine and Jack Withers of Ohio State shared ECAC rookie of the week honors.
Air Force travels to Lexington, Va., this Sunday, March 2, as it takes on VMI in a 12:00 p.m. (ET) match-up.
