The Air Force lacrosse team took time off in preparing for its first game of the season to teach youth lacrosse players the finer points of the game. The Falcons put on a clinic Saturday, instructing over 75 young players.

The free clinic is provided annually as a way for the Falcons to give back to the community and help promote the sport of lacrosse among the young athletes of Colorado Springs.

"We enjoy teaching the youth and helping them learn additional drills and skills that will make them better players," head coach Fred Acee. "The popularity of lacrosse is growing. The annual clinic is a way to promote the sport we love among the youth of the community."

The Falcons will open their regular season this weekend at the Pioneer Face Off Classic. Their first opponent will be a true challenge, as the team takes on top-ranked Virginia on Saturday (Feb. 28). Virginia is ranked first nationally in several polls. On Sunday (Feb. 29), the team will face Vermont.
