SOPHOMORE | 2016: Started all 18 games of the season and all 33 games of his career … second most points on the team with 42 … third most goals on the team with 27 … second most assists on the team with 15 … registered two hat tricks on the season with one against Richmond in the SoCon championship … took 72 shots with 50 on goal … one game winning goal … 19 ground balls … forced eight turnovers … logged six two-goal performances on the season … Superintendent’s list … SoCon Honor Roll … firing range safety officer over the first block of summer … flew in a CV-22 Osprey while completing Operation Air Force at Kirtland AFB, N.M. … will serve as the squadron First Sergeant and as an element leader as a junior.
FRESHMAN | 2015: Started all 15 games of the season … logged four hat tricks and 23 goals on the season … scored a goal against No. 1 Denver and an assist against No. 3 Duke … four goals in two different games against Vermont and High Point … six assists and snagged 19 ground balls on the season … took 57 shots, 37 on goal … Superintendents list … earned jump wings over the summer by completing five jumps in one day.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years in lacrosse and two in football ... all-state in lacrosse as a sophomore, junior and senior ... earned All-American honors as a senior ... along with his brother, Nate, helped lead his lacrosse team to the state championship his freshman year ...graduated with a 5.0 GPA and was a member of the National Honor Society ... high school coach Alex Poole.
PERSONAL: Member of Cadet Squadron 1 ... son of Dale and Kristan Hruby ... father, grandfather and great grandfather all played football at West Point … one grandfather was a West Point track star … great grandfather was Col. “Red” Reeder, a legendary figure and distinguished graduate at West Point … the Commandant’s Conference Room at West Point is the “Red Reeder” room … the MVP trophy for the Army Baseball team is the “Red Reeder” award … has an uncle that graduated from West Point is currently serving as a Major General in the U.S. Army ... older brother, Nate, is an Air Force graduate and played on the lacrosse team ... long-term goal is to work in the acquisitions career field … majoring in management.
