Eric Ehn named CHA Offensive Player of the Week


    U.S.A.F. ACADEMY, Colo. -- Air Force sophomore Eric Ehn was named the College Hockey America co-offensive player of the week for his performance against Wayne State, Dec. 2-3.

    The center from Dexter, Mich., had a career-best seven-point series against Wayne State. In Saturday's 7-6 win, Ehn had a career-best four points. He had a hand in all three goals in the 4-3 loss on Friday with two goals and one assist. On Saturday, he scored a pair of goals and had two assists, having a hand in four of AFA's seven goals.

    Along with his seven points, Ehn had 13 shots on goal and a plus-minus rating of +2. In his last three games, Ehn now has five goals and nine points.

    He is the third Air Force player to earn player of the week honors this season. Mike Knaeble earned the offensive award while Mike Phillipich earned the rookie award on Oct. 31.

    Air Force, 3-9 overall and 2-2 in the CHA, is now idle until Dec. 30-31 when the Falcons host a two-game, non-conference series, with RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology).
