    This Week *Air Force Falcons (0-4, 0-0 AHA) vs. RIT [Rochester Institute of Technology] Tigers (0-3, 0-0 AHA) *Friday-Saturday, Oct. 23-24, 7:05 each night at Cadet Ice Arena (2,470)

    Road Swing Ahead *Following this weekend vs. RIT, Air Force plays six of the next eight on the road. *AFA plays at Canisius, Oct. 31-Nov. 1; at Holy Cross, Nov. 13-14; and at UConn, Nov. 20-21

    The Streak Continues *Entering the RIT series, Air Force has a streak of 10 consecutive regular-season sellouts at the Cadet Ice Arena. *AFA was sold out both nights vs. Alabama-Huntsville last weekend with 3,067 on Friday and 2,534 on Saturday

    The Coaches *Air Force coach Frank Serratore (Bemidji State, 1982) is in his 13th season as the Falcons' head coach *He has led the Falcons to three straight conference championships and NCAA Tournament berths. *Winningest coach in the history of Air Force hockey with a record of 198-216-32 (13th year at AFA) and a career mark of 247-308-41 (17th year) *RIT's Wayne Wilson (Bowling Green, 1984) is in his 11th season at RIT with a school and overall record of 188-94-24 He has led RIT to the AHA regular-season title in 2007 and a share of the title (with Air Force) in 2009

    Scouting the Tigers *RIT is 0-3 this season with losses to Colgate, St. Lawrence and Clarkson. *The Tigers have yet to play a home game. *The Colgate game was played at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester *The Tigers average just 2.0 goals per game. *Sophomore Cameron Burt leads the team with two *Goalie Jared DeMichiel has played every minute and has a .875 saves percentage and a 3.39 GAA *RIT is just 1-for-13 on the power play (7.7%)

    Conference Openers *Air Force is 2-1 in the AHA opener and 4-2 in the first AHA series of the season (since joining in 2006-07) *Since joining a conference (CHA in 1999-00), Air Force is 6-13-1 all-time in conference openers *Air Force is 2-1 in the first AHA home game and 4-2 in the first AHA series at home *In all-time conference home openers, AFA is 4-6 in the first game and 7-12-1 Serratore

    Closing in on #200 *Head coach Frank Serratore is already the winningest coach in Air Force hockey history *He needs two wins for his 200th win at Air Force (record of 198-216-32 in his 13th season)

    Thank You Fans!! *Air Force extended its school record regular-season sellout streak to 10 consecutive games as 3,067 were in attendance on Friday and 2,534 on Saturday. *The 10 consecutive sellouts is a school record in any sport *AFA is currently averaging 2,800 fans per game in two home games this season *Air Force averaged 2,630 fans per game last season in regular-season games which was 105.1 percent of the Cadet Ice Arena's capacity of 2,470. *In all games, including three AHA playoff games, the Falcons averaged a school record 2,482, last season in the 2,470 Cadet Ice Arena. *In 2008-09, the Falcon hockey team played in front of a sellout 11 times, including eight straight. The 11 sellouts are an Academy record in any sport. *The previous record for consecutive regular-season sellouts was eight set by the men's basketball team in 2006-07. *A school-record crowd of 3,535 watched Air Force beat Sacred Heart, 8-1, on Nov. 21, 2008. The top four attendance marks in school history all came last season.
