USAFA, Colo. - Air Force senior Brent Olson was named the Atlantic Hockey Association Player of the Week as he helped lead Air Force to a series sweep of Sacred Heart in a two-game Atlantic Hockey Association series, Oct. 10-11, in Milford, Conn.

The forward from Baudette, Minn., tallied five points on one goal and four assists in the series. He had one goal and one assist in the 4-1 win on Friday. Olson then tied his career-best three assists in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win, including a helper on the game-winner scored by Josh Frider in overtime. Olson leads the AHA, and is seventh in the nation, in scoring averaging 2.5 points per game.

The honor is the second of Olson's career. He was named the AHA Offensive Player of the Week following last season's AHA Tournament. Olson was named the tournament's MVP.

Air Force, 2-0 overall this season and 2-0 in the AHA, opens the home schedule, Friday-Saturday, Oct. 17-18, at 7:05 p.m. MST each night at the Cadet Ice Arena. --30--
