No. 19 Air Force (1-0-1) opens the 2017-18 home schedule with a pair of non-conference games against Arizona State (1-1-0), Friday-Saturday, Oct. 13-14, at 7:05 pm MT each night at Cadet Ice Arena.
Air Force, picked to win the AHC in both the coaches and media pool, is ranked 19th in the USCHO. com and is receiving votes in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine national poll.

Every home game and every Atlantic Hockey game will be streamed on AtlanticHockey.tv for a subscription fee.

Radio/Internet
Both games will be broadcast on Xtra Sports 1300 and will be available online at www.GoAirForceFalcons.com.  Jay Ritchie will call the play-by-play while Dave Toller will provide color analysis. Pregame show begins 30 minutes before faceoff each day.

Series vs. Arizona State
 Air Force and Arizona State split a two-game series last season at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz. Air Force won the first game as four different Falcons scored in a 4-3 win . Ben Kucera led the Falcons with two points (1-1-2) and Matt Serratore scored the game-winner early in the third period. Shane Starret make 27 saves, including 12 in the third. Sun Devil goalie Joey Dacord came on in relieve to stop 19 of the 20 shots he faced.  In the second game, ASU scored two first-period goals en route to a 5-2 win. Pierce Pluemer scored in the second period and Tyler Ledford scored in the third. Billy Christopoulos made 18 saves for the Falcons.  Joey Dacord made 24 for the Sun Devils.

Scouting the Sun Devils
Arizona State is in its second full season as an NCAA Division I independent and its third season overall. The Sun Devils are 1-1 this season after splitting a home series with Massachusetts last weekend. After winning 5-3 on Friday, the Sun Devils fell, 4-2, on Saturday.  Junior Louie Rowe had five points (1-4-5) in the series. Seven different Sun Devils scored goals. Joey Dacord, a draft pick of the Ottawa Senators, started both games in goal and stopped 46 of 52 in the series for a 3.04 GAA and a .885 saves percentage. ASU was 1-for-12 on the power play while killing all nine of UMass’ opportunities.
