Falcons preseason favorite in media poll
Sept. 29, 2017

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force is the preseason favorite to win the Atlantic Hockey Conference in the 2017-18 media poll, released today. The Falcons were also picked to win the league in the coaches’ poll released earlier in the week.

Air Force earned 14 of the 18 first-place votes and 193 points. Robert Morris received the other four first-place votes and 180 points.

The media also selected a preseason all-conference team. Air Force senior defenseman Phil Boje and senior forward Jordan Himley were named to the first team. Boje was a first-team all-AHC selection last season while Himley was named to the second team.  Boje received the most votes among all AHC defensemen.
