Twelve Falcons earn Atlantic Hockey All-Academic honors

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - A school-record 12 Air Force hockey players were named to the Atlantic Hockey Association all-academic team, as announced today by the league office.
The 12 selections set a new school record, breaking the old mark of 11 set in 2005-06 in the College Hockey America conference.
Graduated senior David Bosner is a three-time selection as he carried a 3.60 GPA as a legal studies and political science major. Fellow graduated senior Stephen Carew is a two-time selection and carried a 3.16 GPA as a management major.
Rising seniors Casey Kleisinger (3.35 cumulative GPA in management) and Adam McKenzie (3.88 cumulative GPA in aeronautical engineering) were each named to the academic all-conference team for the third time. Rising seniors Ryan Timar (3.14 cumulative GPA in biology), Jacob Musselman (3.06 cumulative GPA in management), Tony Thomas (3.09 cumulative GPA in management) and Jason Torf (3.23 cumulative GPA in aeronautical engineering) were named to the team for the second time in their careers. Rising senior Jason Fabian (3.04 cumulative GPA in management) made the team for the first time.
Rising junior Ben Persian (3.52 cumulative GPA in economics) made the team for the second time in his career.
Rising sophomores Chris Dylewski (3.73 cumulative GPA) and Max Edson (3.18 cumulative GPA) each made the team for the first time.
To qualify for the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team an individual must post a 3.0 grade point average or higher in all of the academic periods during which his team was actively competing.
