U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. – Air Force athletics and head hockey coach Frank Serratore have agreed to a new five-year contract through 2021, according to an announcement today from Director of Athletics Jim Knowlton.
Serratore just completed his 19th season at Air Force with a record of 329-310-71 record. Serratore is the winningest coach in the history of Air Force hockey, having led Air Force to five AHC championships and five NCAA Tournaments in the last 10 years. This past season, he was named the Atlantic Hockey coach of the year as he led the Falcons to a 20-12-5 overall record. The Falcons tied for second in the Atlantic Hockey Conference with a 16-7-5 record.
“Frank has done an incredible job building the Air Force hockey program,” Knowlton said. “I’m excited about the future of our program with Frank and his staff’s leadership. They have set a high standard of excellence here at the Academy.”
“I am grateful to the Academy for allowing me to continue leading their hockey program,” Serratore said. “I am very proud of all we have accomplished during my tenure, I am blessed to have been part of a great past and I am looking forward to an even greater future”
