The Air Force hockey team has clinched a bye in the first round of the Atlantic Hockey Association playoffs and will host a quarterfinal series (best of three) at the Academy, March 15-17.
Entering the final week of the regular season, Niagara has already clinched the regular-season title with 42 points. Air Force is in second place with 31 points. After Air Force, there are five teams within two points of each other. Air Force can finish no higher than second and no lower than a tie for fourth place. Since Air Force owns the tiebreaker with Robert Morris, the Falcons would still finish no lower than fourth.
Tickets for the Air Force playoff series on March15-17 will be on sale to season ticket holders only beginning on Monday, Feb. 25, at 9 a.m. MT. Air Force (15-11-7 overall and 13-7-5 in the league, is in second place in the league and concludes the regular season with a two-game series against first-place and 15th-ranked Niagara, 21-6-5 overall and 20-3-2 in the league on Friday-Saturday, March 1-2, at 7:05 p.m. each night at Cadet Ice Arena.
