U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force sophomore Erik Baskin was named the Atlantic Hockey Conference player of the week as he helped lead the Falcons to a sweep of AIC, Jan. 8-9. The conference weekly honor is the second of Baskin’s career and the fifth by a Falcon this season.
A winger from Minnetonka, Minn., Baskin had five points (4-1-5) in the two games against the Yellow Jackets. He tied his career high with two goals in the 8-2 win on Jan. 8. The next night, he tied his career highs with two goals and three points. He had 10 shots on goal and was a +5 in the series.
Air Force (9-9-2, 7-5-2 AHC) travels to Army West Point for a two-game league series, Jan. 15-16. Air Force is tied for fourth place in the conference with 16 points.
