Men's Gymnastics Announces 2013 Schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Highlighted by five home competitions, including the annual Rocky Mountain Open and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships, the Air Force men's gymnastics team released its 2013 competition schedule this morning (Sept. 11).

Air Force will kick off the 2013 campaign on Saturday, Jan. 12, when it hosts the 32nd-annual Rocky Mountain Open at the Cadet West Gym. The Falcons remain at the Academy for a dual meet with service academy rival Army on Saturday, Jan. 19. Air Force heads out on the road the following week for the first of eight road competitions, when it travels to Minnesota on Saturday, Jan. 26.

The second month of the season begins on Friday, Feb. 1, when the Falcons travel to Washington for the first of two dual meets with the Huskies. Select Falcons will travel to Las Vegas, Nev., for the prestigious Winter Sup Challenge on Thursday, Feb. 7, before the full squad heads to Atlanta, Ga., for the annual All-Academy Championships where Air Force will look to secure its third straight title.

The Falcons will travel to Oklahoma on Saturday, Feb. 23, before heading to Illinois-Chicago for meets on Friday, March 1, and Sunday, March 3. Air Force will close out the eight-meet road swing at Arizona State on Saturday, March 9. The Falcons return to the Academy in mid-March to close out the regular season. Air Force will host Temple on Thursday, March 14, and Washington on Saturday, March 16.

Air Force, which has won the last three USAG national titles, will open postseason action on Friday, March 29, when it heads to Williamsburg, Va., for the USAG Collegiate National Championships. The Falcons will host the MPSF Championships for the third straight year on Saturday, April 6, before closing out the season at the NCAA National Championships in State College, Pa., on April 19-21.

The Falcons' preseason Blue/Silver Scrimmage will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1.
