USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Three members of the Air Force men's gymnastics team were named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Team, the league commissioner announced this morning (May 5). Senior Jake Schonig, junior Brennan Wolford and sophomore Aaron Zaiser were the Falcons' representatives on the academic all-conference squad.

Schonig, who is making his third straight appearance on the all-academic team, leads the Falcons with a 3.28 grade-point-average. Wolford earned his second all-academic team selection with a 3.07 GPA, while Zaiser, in his first year of eligibility for the academic award, rounded out the Air Force contingent with a 3.02 GPA.

Schonig joins former Falcons Kent Reichle (2003-05) and Brian Boardman (2006-08) as the program's three-time MPSF all-academic team selections.

To be considered for the MPSF All-Academic Team, student-athletes must hold a grade-point-average of 3.0 or higher and be at least a sophomore with one full academic year completed at the institution prior to the season that the award was received. In addition, the student-athlete must have competed in 50-percent or more of the institutions competitions.
