Men's Gymnastics Take Fourth At USAG Finals

    DAVIS, Calif.- The Air Force men's gymnastics team took fourth in the finals of the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals Championships Friday evening. The Falcons finished with a final team score of 201.625. William & Mary took the top slot with a final team score of 204.600, followed by Navy (202.950), and UC Santa Barbara (202.550). Finishing fifth was Springfield (Mass.) with a final team score of 194.700, followed by S. Connecticut State (194.675), Vermont (168.950) and MIT (166.250).

    C3C (So.) Aaron Jackson finished in first on floor with C3C Justin Jones tying for second (8.750) and C1C (Sr.) Levi Torkelson finishing 11th (8.550). Jackson also placed 13th in the all-around and Torkelson finished fifth on high bar (8.550). The top Air Force position on parallel bars was held by C2C (Jr.) Matthew Kenkel who took first (8.700), followed by C2C (Jr.) Scott Lewis who tied for second (8.650). Kenkel also held the top Falcon spot on pommel horse, finshing 16th and tying for third on rings (8.750). C1C Andrew Fisher tied for ninth with Michael Kelly of UC Santa Barabara (8.600). Fisher also took the top Air Force slot on vault, tying for sixth (8.950).
