Air Force Men's Gymnasts Take Third at UC-Berkley

The Air Force men's gymnastics team placed third (195.200) in a triangular meet with California (212.450) and Iowa (195.200,) held at the University of California-Berkley, Friday March 16. Iowa and California each won event titles, sweeping the top-three placings in each event.

Individually the Falcons had only one gymnast place well, with C3C (So.) Aaron Jackson placing fourth (47.750) in the all-around competition. Other Air Force scores were as follows: C3C Justin Jones on the floor exercise (8.650); C2C (Jr.) James Hayes on pommel horse (7.800); C2C Matt Kenkel on the still rings (8.650); and C3C Scott Lewis on parallel bars (8.200).

Air Force will be returning to UC-Berkley next weekend, March 23-24, for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships. The event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on both nights.
