USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force senior Nash Mills was selected as the College Gymnastics Association National Gymnast of the Week (Collegiate Division), the CGA announced today (March 9). It is the second such award of the season with Mills and the fourth of his career.

Mills shared the weekly honor with Oklahoma's Steven Legendre, who received the honor for the NCAA Division. The divisional winners for the CGA Gymnasts of the Week are voted on by all 17 college varsity coaches, 28 of the association's Honorary Life Members and seven coaches from major club programs.

The Coto de Caza, Calif., native broke the Academy record on the high bar during the UIC quad meet on March 6, scoring a 14.900 to tie for first on that event. Mills also won the vault (15.800), while matching his career-best all-around score of 86.300 to place first in the multi-event competition. The senior also finished within the top half of the field on the floor exercise (13.900) and parallel bars (13.800).

Mills also paced the Falcons during the March 4 quad meet at UIC, placing third on the vault with a score of 15.800. He was the program's leading scorer on the still rings (14.400) and parallel bars (14.100), finishing within the top 10 on both events.

Air Force returns to action on Friday (March 11), when it travels to the East Coast for a pair of meets. The Falcons open the road trip in Brockport, N.Y., for a tri-meet at 19th-ranked Brockport. The Falcons will then compete at 15th-ranked Springfield on Sunday, March 13.
