After a one-week hiatus from team competition, the 13th-ranked Air Force men's gymnastics squad returns to competition on Saturday, Feb. 13, when it travels to Aliso Viejo, Calif., for the annual All-Academy Championships. At the meet, which will take place at the Soka University Gym, the Falcons will face off with No. 15 Army and No. 16 Navy at 1:30 p.m. (PST).

MEET INFORMATION
The All-Academy Championships will be held in conjunction with the annual Palm Tree Classic in Aliso Viejo, Calif. (just outside of Laguna Beach). The meet is slated to begin at 1:30 p.m. (PST) and will be held at the gymnasium on the campus of Soka University of America.
SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
Army and Navy were scheduled to compete in a dual meet last weekend, but the event was cancelled due to the snowstorm that hit the East Coast. Due to the cancellation, the last meet for both schools came at the Springfield Tri-Meet on Jan. 31. Army finished second with a score of 330.950, while Navy placed third at 326.100. Navy's Andrew Faulk won the all-around for the second straight week.
HISTORY 101
Air Force's first and only All-Academy Championship title came in 2000, although the Falcons have finished as the runner-up in the each of the last two years. Army won the team title from 2001-2007, while Navy has won the last two meets. The meet, which is has been held at a neutral location during nine of the last 11 years, has been held in Aliso Viejo, Calif., on four occasions.

Individually, junior Nash Mills is tied for ninth on the vault's national rankings with an average score of 15.775. As a team, the Falcons have averaged a score of 61.700 on that apparatus, highlighted by a season-high, Academy-record score of 62.200. That mark is ranked eighth on the national leaderboard.
BROWN LEADS FALCONS AT WINTER CUP CHALLENGE
Freshman Tory Brown picked up the Falcons' best finish at the Winter Cup Challenge, as he placed eighth on the vault in the preliminary round of competition. Brown improved his personal-best score on the vault by nearly one point, garnering a score of 15.600 to place eighth.
ALL ABOUT THE VAULT
The Falcons tallied two top-13 finishes on the vault in the preliminary round of action at the Winter Cup Challenge. In addition to Tory Brown's eighth-place 15.600 on the vault, sophomore Joel Uptmor nabbed a 15.400 on the event to finish 13th. Junior Nash Mills, one of the program's two record holders on that event, earned his best finish of the night on the vault.
WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE FALCONS
The Falcons return to action on Sunday, Feb. 21, when they travel to Lincoln, Neb., for a quad meet with host Nebraska, future dual meet opponent Illinois-Chicago and head coach Kip Simons' alma mater Ohio State.
