Air Force Hosts Rocky Mountain Open

    The Air Force men's gymnastics team hosted its first home meet of the season Friday evening-the Rocky Mountain Open, with The University of Oklahoma, Iowa, the Olympic Training Center, Nebraska, Army, Arizona State, and Washington all in attendance. Oklahoma finished the team competition in first place with a final team score of 214.325, followed by Iowa (209.100), the Olympic Training Center (206.150), Nebraska (204.800), Army (198.275), Air Force (197.600), Arizona State (181.350), and Washington (148.500).

    C2C (So.) Aaron Jackson placed within the top-five in the all-around competition (50.350) and will continue on to the event finals on floor (8.850) Saturday afternoon. Falcon co-captains C1Cs (Sr.) James Hayes and Matthew Kenkel tied for seventh on pommel horse (8.400) and will both advance to the finals. The event finals begin at 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the Cadet Gymnasium's West Gym and will feature the top eight finishers from each event. The Air Force women's team will finish out the evening at 7 p.m. when it hosts Illinois State and Winona State in the final competition of the Rocky Mountain Open.
