WEST POINT, N.Y. -- The 10th-ranked Air Force men's gymnastics edged No. 12 Army West Point by a 394.750-394.150 margin this evening (Jan. 26) at Gross Center in New York. Backed by a pair of first-place finishes from senior Fletcher Braunton, the Falcons collected five event titles during the 0.600-point victory over their service academy rivals.

Braunton won the pommel horse and still rings, while classmate Jonathon Fornoff won the parallel bars and the junior duo of Ryan Girouard and Lukas Texeira won the floor exercise and high bar, respectively.

Backed by Braunton's winning score of 13.950, the Falcons posted three of the top-six scores on the still rings. Freshmen Frankie Valentin and Ethan Esval joined Braunton among the top-half of the still rings standings, as the pair finished fourth (13.000) and sixth (12.900), respectively. Braunton added a score of 13.700 to finish first on the pommel horse, while Valentin joined him in the top-six with a fourth-place (tie) score of 12.800.

Air Force recorded four of the top-five scores on the floor exercise. While Girouard won the event with a score of 13.600, Fornoff and junior Christian Kalustian tied for third with matching marks of 13.300 and Valentin finished fifth with a score of 13.200.

Winning the parallel bars with a score of 13.850, Fornoff paced the Falcons to three of the top-four score on that event. Junior Casey Branin registered a score of 13.600 to finish third, while classmate Jonah Urlaub tied for fourth with a mark of 13.250. The Falcons also nabbed three of the top-five scores on the high bar, as Texeira scored a 14.100 to win the event by 0.300 points, classmate Eric Klein finished third with a score of 13.400 and Branin placed fifth with a score of 13.200.

Kalustian paced the Falcons on the vault, as he scored a 14.000 to finish second. Texeira and senior Michael Graft tied for third with matching scores of 13.900 and freshman Brandon Bzoskie tied for sixth after recording a score of 13.800.

The Falcons remain on the East Coast, as they travel to Springfield College on Sunday, Jan. 28.
