JUNIOR YEAR | 2017 (new scoring system): USAG All-American on the parallel bars...competed on that event in every competition, including the NCAA Championships...posted a career-best score of 14.700 at the Rocky Mountain Open...that was the Falcons’ highest score in 2017...captured three first-place finishes on that event, winning the parallel bars at Minnesota (14.200), at the USNA Triangular (14.500) and in the home finale against Navy (14.300)...scored a 13.800 to place second in the USAG Event Finals...finished 10th at the National Qualifier (14.250) to advance to first national championship meet...tied for 16th in the finals with another score of 14.250...also competed on the floor exercise in five meets...scored a personal-best 13.850 at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships...earned All-Academic Scholar-Athlete honors from the MPSF...named All-America Scholar-Athlete by the College Gymnastics Association

SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2016: Competed on the parallel bars in nine meets...scored a season-high of 14.550 in the home finale with California and Illinois...that score was the second-highest on the team in 2016...won the parallel bars title at Army West Point (14.300)...earned All-Academic Scholar-Athlete honors from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2015: Competed on the parallel bars during nine competitions...scored a career-best 14.850 to tie for first in the dual meet with Washington...that mark is tied for seventh on the Academy’s all-time list...first entered the program’s top-10 (10th) following a 14.700 performance against Army...opened the season with back-to-back scores of 14.500 (Rocky Mountain Open, at Minnesota) to debut in 14th on the all-time list...competed on the floor exercise three times...scored a personal-best 14.050 during collegiate debut at the Rocky Mountain Open.

HIGH SCHOOL | CLUB TEAM: Bartlett High School...member of the National Honor Society...competed at the club level for Premier West Gymnastics...coached by Chris McKee...finished sixth on the parallel bars at the Junior Olympic Nationals...earned Academic All-America honors.

PERSONAL: Full name is Jonathon William Fornoff...nickname is “J”...son of Greg and Patty Fornoff...has one younger sister...majoring in management...future plans include becoming a pilot or working in the intelligence field...served as Group 2 ATFP/IT Officer and squadron’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Officer...also served as the Executive Officer for 2017 Basic Cadet Training...named to the Superintendent’s List for excellence in military, academic and athletic performance...hobbies include hunting and fishing...favorite event is the parallel bars, because “it’s natural to me and I’m pretty good at it”...completed Powered Flight and worked BCT over the summer...member of Cadet Squadron 14.
