    SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2013: USAG All-American on the parallel bars...set Academy record of 15.250 during a winning performance at Arizona State...paced Air Force to the top-four p-bars finishes at that meet...became just the third Falcon in program history to break the 15-point mark on the parallel bars...also earned first-place finishes in meets against Illinois-Chicago (14.000) and Washington (14.750)...accounted for four of the nine-highest scores in Academy history (15.200, first; 14.800, sixth; 14.750, seventh; 14.650, ninth)...also competed on the pommel horse during 14 meets, including the USAG event finals...recorded a season-high mark of 14.150 to finish second at the All-Academy Championships...advanced to the event finals of the USAG Championships after finishing sixth during the preliminary round (13.800)...competed on the floor exercise during the first three meets of the year...tallied a season-best 13.500 in the season-opening Rocky Mountain Open.

    PERSONAL: Full name is Gregory Arthur Chaput...goes by Greg...nickname is "Squints"...son of Arthur and Dawn Chaput...has one older sister, Colby, a 2012 Academy graduate, who is currently attending pilot training in Texas...majoring in social sciences, with a focus on management...future career plans include becoming a pilot...served as Flight NCO and Training Clerk...attended the Academy's Prep School...won the pommel horse and all-around at a regional meet while attending the prep school...hobbies include hanging out with the guys on the team...served as Element Leader during Basic Cadet Training...also completed Operation Air Force at Whiteman AFB, Missouri...toured a B-2 during Ops...favorite event is the pommel horse, because "it's one of the events that you have to put the most work into, practicing circles and keeping a good line, but in the end, after doing millions of drills and trying to perfect your circle, it all pays off when you learn a new skill or hit your routine in a clutch situation"...would like to add that "accomplishing all that we had as a young team was exciting and I look forward to the freshmen coming in this year to help us achieve even greater things"...member of Cadet Squadron 01.
