    Rocky Mountain Open

    Competed at the 2013 P&G Gymnastics Championships in August just 10 days after completing Basic Cadet Training...placed eighth in the junior (ages 17-18) division with a two-day score of 156.200...earned a bronze medal on the floor exercise with a combined score of 27.250...also earned a top-five finish on the parallel bars (fifth, 26.700)...just the second Air Force gymnast to compete at the U.S. national meet.

    HIGH SCHOOL | CLUB TEAM: Hamilton Southeastern High School...earned Academic All-America honors...competed at the club level for Deveau's School of Gymnastics...coached by Chad Ford...finished 12th at the Junior Olympic Nationals in May to qualify for the 2013 P&G National Championships.

    PERSONAL: Full first name is Christopher, but goes by Chris...son of Gregory and Kim Stephenson...has two older siblings, Andrea, who is an officer in the Army, and Julian...also has one younger brother, Anthony...currently undecided on a major, but looking at something in the chemistry field...future plans include becoming a pilot...loves to play golf...favorite event is the parallel bars, because "I've always enjoyed the challenge of adding difficulty here"...member of Cadet Squadron 11.
