The Air Force men's gymnastics team was selected 11th in the annual GymInfo Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was recently released. The ranking, which marked the sixth straight season that the Falcons have earned a spot in the preseason standings, matched the highest placement ever for the Falcons in the coaches' poll.
During the fall semester, the Air Force men's and women's gymnastics teams hosted several community events for local children at the Academy's Cadet West Gym. These interactive events have allowed the community, both at USAFA and within the Colorado Springs area, the chance to interact with the gymnasts and learn more about the sport.
With a two-day combined score of 156.200, Air Force freshman Chris Stephenson finished eighth in the junior (ages 17-18) division of the all-around at the 2013 P&G Gymnastics Championships on Sunday (Aug. 18) night in Hartford, Conn. Highlighting his night was a bronze medal finish on the floor exercise.

Highlighted by four competitions at the Academy's Cadet West Gym, including the 33rd-annual Rocky Mountain Open, the Air Force men's gymnastics team and head coach Kip Simons announced the squad's schedule for the upcoming season this afternoon.
