After nearly a year of construction, the renovation to Cadet West Gym - the 25,000-square foot home of the Air Force men's and women's gymnastics teams - is nearing completion as one of the nation's premiere facilities.
The Air Force men's gymnastics team was ranked 11th in the College Gymnastics Association Preseason Top-20A. The ranking, which marked the seventh straight season that the Falcons have earned a spot in the preseason coaches' standings, matched the highest placement ever for the Falcons in the coaches' poll.
The Cadet West Gym - home of the Air Force men's and women's gymnastics teams - is continuing to evolve, as on-going renovations are transforming the venue into one of the nation's marquee gymnastics facilities.
Last month, the Air Force men's gymnastics team took part in the Ice Bucket Challenge to promote awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, while also raising nearly $700 for the cause. However, the Falcons decided to do their challenge "their way".
For the sixth straight year, the Air Force men's gymnastics team took to the streets to participate in the annual Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure. The Falcons joined thousands of other participants that took part in the 5K event around Denver on Sunday, Sept. 28.
