Jacob Houder Earns MWC Scholar-Athlete Honors

Air Force freshman Jacob Houder was a recipient of the Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete Award, the league office announced today (June 24). Houder, a native of Pinehurst, Texas, completed his first year at the Academy with a 3.72 grade-point-average. Houder was one of 548 student-athletes to earn the league honor. [+]

Air Force Trio Named Academic All-Conference

Three members of the Air Force men's gymnastics team were named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Team, the league commissioner announced this morning (May 5). The Air Force men's gymnastics program handed out its 2009 team awards at the annual end-of-season banquet earlier this evening (April 30). Jacob Houder was the top award winner, earning the Most Valuable Player award, as well as the Freshman of the Year honor. Air Force Concludes 2009 Season at National Championships

The 15th-ranked Air Force men's gymnastics team concluded the 2009 season on Thursday, April 16, as five members of the squad competed at the NCAA National Collegiate Gymnastics Championships in Minneapolis, Minn. Six members of the Air Force men's gymnastics team will travel to Minneapolis, Minn., for the 2009 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships this weekend (April 16-18). Action begins on Thursday, April 16, with a pair of national qualifying sessions.
