CALHOUN, LA. - Air Force golfer Ben Leestma captured the individual championship at the Louisiana Tech Invitational. Leestma, who carded a three-round total of 210 (66-70-74) to help lead the Falcons to a third-place (tied) finish, won the event by six strokes over runner-up Juan Lizarralde of Oklahoma Christian.

The Falcons tied for third place with Louisiana Tech, carding a 293-305-315=913. Oklahoma Christian won the event with a total of 897, followed by Sanford at 907.

Leestma has been a driving force for the Falcons' golf team. He shot an Air Force all-time record 207 to win the Falcon-Antigua Invitational earlier this month. He then won an unprecedented fourth championship at the Service Academies Classic last week. The victory in Louisiana marks his third individual title this month.

The Falcons will have a week off, then travel to Palm Desert, Calif., to participate in The Prestige, set for Nov. 5-6.
