    Coming Up
    The Air Force golf team wraps up its 2012 fall season in Colts Neck, N.J., for the Service Academy Golf Championship at the par-72, 6,922-yard Trump National Golf Club. The two-day tournament is slated for two rounds on Monday, Oct. 22 and one round on Tuesday, Oct. 23.

    The Field
    Air Force, Army and Navy will each send nine players to the tournament this year. The Falcons will send Kyle Westmoreland, Andrew Hoops, Jack Howard, Philip Colwell, Todd Berglund and Blake Jones as the team of six players. Ryan Kramer, Michael Fan and Miguel Macias will compete as individuals at the tournament.

    Last Time Out
    The Falcons finished the 2012 Brickyard Collegiate Championships in 15th place after firing a final-round total of 293 Sunday at the par-72, 7,128-yard Brickyard at Riverside Golf Course in Macon, Ga. The Falcons, who had the eighth-best round of the day, improved by 19 shots from the first round on Friday. Individually, junior Kyle Westmoreland was the team's top finisher, placing in a tie for 35th place with a three-round total of 221 (+5).

    Last Year at the SAGC
    The Air Force men's golf team captured its 15th consecutive Service Academy Golf Classic title Tuesday at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. The Falcons, who have not lost the SACG since 1994, posted a three-round total of 938, 12 shots better than second-place Navy and 25 better than third-place Army. The tournament was not played in 2007 and `08.

    Air Force sophomore Kyle Westmoreland also recaptured the individual title for Air Force with an 11-over par total of 227, beating teammate Robert Belz by five strokes. Westmoreland is the 12th Air Force player to win the individual title and the first since Kyle Bailey in 2009.

    Head Coach George Koury
    Air Force head coach George Koury is in his 11th season at the helm of the Falcons' golf program. After serving three seasons as an assistant under legendary coach Gene Miranda, Koury took over the program at the start of the 2002-03 season.

    Koury, a 1993 Academy graduate and former team captain and MVP, has helped the Falcons continue their dominance at the Service Academy Golf Classic, winning 14 straight titles at the event. In addition, he helped lead Air Force to the team title at the 2005 Falcon Invitational, marking the first time since the inaugural event in 1969 that the team won its own tournament outright.
