Falcons Wrap Up Fall Season at Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate

    The Air Force golf team closes out the 2010 fall season Oct. 25-26 at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, hosted by New Mexico State. The 54-hole tournament is being played at the 7,003]yard, par]72 NMSU Golf Course. The first two rounds will be played Monday, with the final round slated for Tuesday. Both days of action will begin with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.

    Last Time Out...
    Led by freshman Philip Colwell, the Air Force golf team finished tied for 10th place at the Purple & Red Invitational, co-hosted by Weber State and Utah. The Falcons turned in a three-round score of 885 (+21) for the tournament.

    Colwell posted his lowest tournament score of the season, finishing with an even-par 216 to tie for 15th in the individual standings. Junior Caleb Leestma was next for Air Force, tying for 34th place with a score of 221 (+5).

    Fifteen teams are slated to compete in this yearfs Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate.
