Falcons Wrap Up Fall Season at Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate
    Tournament will take place Oct. 25-26 in Las Cruces, N.M.

    The Air Force golf team closes out the 2010 fall season Oct. 25-26 at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, hosted by New Mexico State. The 54-hole tournament is being played at the 7,003]yard, par]72 NMSU Golf Course. The first two rounds will be played Monday, with the final round slated for Tuesday. Both days of action will begin with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.

    Last Time Out...
    Led by freshman Philip Colwell, the Air Force golf team finished tied for 10th place at the Purple & Red Invitational, co-hosted by Weber State and Utah. The Falcons turned in a three-round score of 885 (+21) for the tournament.

    Colwell posted his lowest tournament score of the season, finishing with an even-par 216 to tie for 15th in the individual standings. Junior Caleb Leestma was next for Air Force, tying for 34th place with a score of 221 (+5).

    Fifteen teams are slated to compete in this yearfs Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate. A full list of this year's field follows, with Golfweek/Sagarin ratings in parentheses: Air Force (173), Boise State (146), Idaho (56), Illinois State (133), Kansas (111), Nebraska (90), New Mexico State (44), Texas State (98), UNLV (75), Utah (189), UTEP (163), Washington State (48), Wichita State (158), Weber State (118) and Western New Mexico.
