The Air Force golf team will travel north on I-25 for the Ram Masters, hosted by Colorado State, Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 18-19, at the Fort Collins Country Club. Live scoring will be available at GolfStat.com.

Fort Collins Country Club, located in Fort Collins, Colo. The golfers will play 36 holes in a shotgun start on Monday, Sept. 19, starting at 8 am. Pairings for Tuesday’s tee times for the final 18 holes, will be determined by team score. The low four individual scores will determine the team scores for each round.

LAST SEASON AT THE RAM MASTERS
The Air Force golf team placed fourth in the 18-team CSU Ram Masters, last season at the Fort Collins Country Club. The fourth-place finish and 858 team score mark the best ever for the Falcons in the annual CSU Tournament. Colorado State won the 54-hole tournament with a team score of four-over, 844. Nevada was second (851) while Wichita State was third (853). Todd Millard tied for 28th with a 217, followed by Josh Wu (226) and Bryant Falconello (228).
LAST WEEK’S RESULTS
The Air Force golf team posted its best finish since 2013 at the season-opening Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational, Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Academy’s Eisenhower Blue Course. The Falcons shot a team score of 290 each day to place ninth with a three-round total of 870 (six-over par). Wyoming won the 49th annual tournament with a 29-under par 835. Air Force’s top individual was junior Tate Tatom who shot a three-under par 213. After back-to-back 72’s in the first two rounds, he shot 69 in the final round. Senior Todd Millard, competing as an individual, shot even-par 216.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Junior Tate Tatom leads the Falcons with a season stroke average of 71.00. After back-to-back rounds of 72 in the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational, he shot a career-best (tied) 69 on the final day to go three-under for the tournament. Senior Todd Millard is second on the team with a season stroke average of 72.00. Sophomore Joseph Crisostomo and senior Dane Hankamer are tied for third at 72.33. Crisostomo holds the lowest round this season by a Falcon, shooting a career- best (tied) 68 on the second day of the Falcon Invitational.
ABOUT THE COACH
George Koury is in his 16th season as the head coach at Air Force. Before taking over in 2002, Koury spent three seasons as an assistant coach. A 1993 Academy graduate, Koury competed on the golf team from 1990-93, serving as team captain and earning MVP honors as a senior. Koury is assisted by Tyler Goulding, a 2007 Academy graduate, who was a two-year team captain and three-time MVP. He is in his first season with the Falcons after spending three seasons as an assistant at the University of Southern California.
