Former Falcons to compete in Web.Com Tournament

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Two former Air Force golfers, Kyle Westmoreland and Tom Whitney,  will play in this week’s tournament, the Air Capital Classic at the Crestview Golf Club in Wichita, Kansas, June 15-18.

Whitney, a 2010 graduate, is a regular on the Tour, playing in six events this season. Whitney has won five professional tournaments, most recently the Waterloo Open, July, 2016. The native of La Quinta, Calif., earned all-conference and all-region honors as a Falcon from 2006-10.

Westmoreland, a 2014 graduate, qualified for the Air Capital Classic by shooting a 66 in open qualifying at Willowbend Golf Club in Wichita.  The native of Katy, Texas, was an all-conference, all-region golfer while competing for the Falcons from 2010-14. Westmoreland is currently a finance office at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C.
