Golf Tied for Second After Two Rounds at MWC Championships

After two rounds of play, the Air Force golf find themselves tied for second place, trailing UNLV by just two strokes heading into the final round at the Mountain West Conference 2002 Men's Golf Championship on the Crosswater Course (Par 72/7,188) at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore.
Four Air Force golfers are in the top 20, including three tied at eighth place--Adam Wasinger, Matt Sakowitz and Daryl McCoy. Team Captain Ben Leestma is tied for 16th place overall. The day's low round was turned in by Sakowitz with a three-under par 69.
Individually, first-round leader Mark Warman (San Diego State) shot an even par 72 for a two-day total of 140 and leads by two strokes over Martin Laird (Colorado State). Three players are three shots back at 143. The third and final round begins at 9 a.m. (PDT) Wednesday.
