Falcons Head to Arizona for Cowboy Classic

    The Air Force golf team is back in action April 4-5 at the Cowboy Classic, hosted by Wyoming. The 54-hole tournament is being played at the par-70, 7,133-yard Talking Stick Golf Club - North Course. The first two 18-hole rounds will take place on Monday, with the final round played on Tuesday. Each day will begin with a 7:45 a.m. (PT) shotgun start.

    Last Time Out...
    Led by senior Tom Whitney, the Falcons finished 15th last week at the Barona Collegiate Cup in Lakeside, Calif. The Falcons finished with a team score of 1156, while Whitney registered his fifth top-five finish of the season, tying for fifth at 214 (-2).

    The Field...
    The field for this week's tournament features 25 teams.     In the Rankings...
    According to the latest Golfweek/Sagarin ratings (updated March 28), senior Tom Whitney is ranked among the top 60 collegiate golfers, coming in at No. 59. Meanwhile, his season stroke average of 71.30 is the third-best in the Mountain West Conference.
