Falcons Set to Compete at Cowboy Classic

    The Air Force golf team heads to Scottsdale, Ariz., April 4-5, for the ninth-annual Cowboy Classic, hosted by Wyoming . The 54-hole tournament is being held at the 7,133-yard, par-70 North Course at the Talking Stick Golf Club. The first two rounds will be played Monday, while the final round is scheduled for Tuesday. Each day of action will begin with a 7:45 a.m. (PT) shotgun start.

    Last Time Out...
    The Air Force golf team turned in a three-round score of 897 (+33) to finish 17th at the Border Olympics, held March 25-26 in Laredo, Texas.

    Leading the Falcons for the second-straight tournament was freshman Kyle Westmoreland, who tied for 55th place with a score of 222 (+6), while Caleb Leestma was next in the individual standings for Air Force, tying for 79th place at 226.

    Twenty teams are slated to compete at this year's Cowboy Classic, including San Diego, which is ranked 20th in the latest Golf World/Nike Golf Coaches Poll, and four teams from the Mountain West Conference.
