The Air Force golf team is back in action this weekend, March 7-9, at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship, being hosted by UNLV. The 54-hole tournament, being played at the par-72, 7,510-yard Southern Highlands Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nev., is slated to begin Friday at 8:00 a.m. (PT). One 18-hole round will be played each day.
Last Time Out...
Led by sophomore Tom Whitney, Air Force finished seventh at the UTSA Intercollegiate to open the spring season. The Falcons, paced by Whitney's 66 in the final round, shot an even-par 284 in round three to finish at 888 (+36). Meanwhile, Whitney tied for ninth overall with a score of 217 (+4).

Fifteen teams are slated to compete in this week's tournament, including eight teams ranked in the Golf World/NIKE Golf Coaches Poll and 11 rated in the top 50 in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin ratings. The full list, with rankings in parentheses, follows:
