The Air Force golf team travels to Dade City, Fla., for the University of South Florida Invitational. The 54-hole event will take place at the par-72, 7,153-yard Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club. The tournament is scheduled for March 2-4, with 18 holes played each day.
Joining Air Force and host USF in the tournament will be Florida State, Florinda, Purdue, Wisconsin, Memphis, Auburn, Illinois, Ohio State, DePaul, Charleston, marquette, Cincinnati, Mercer, Eastern Michigan and UNC Greensboro. Five seniors will play for the Falcons; Kyle Westmoreland, Jack Howard, Philip Colwell, Miguel Macias and Todd Berglund.

The Air Force golf team captured its second tournament title of the season by tying Illinois State for the championship of the Snowman Getaway Tournament at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz. The Falcons, who also won the season-opening Falcon Invitational, shot a two-under par 286 in the final round for a three-round total of 849 (-15). Illinois State, meanwhile, fired a 15-under par 273 on Tuesday tie the Falcons. No playoff was played due to travel schedules.
Individually, two Air Force players finished in the top 10. Senior Kyle Westmoreland tied for fourth place at -9 (207) after shooting an even-par 72 on Tuesday. Fellow senior Jack Howard equaled his best career finish (2013 Falcon Invitational) with a seventh-place tie at -8 (208) after a two-under par 70 in the final round.
HEAD COACH George Koury
Air Force head coach George Koury is in his 12th season at the helm of the Falcons’ golf program. After serving three seasons as an assistant under legendary coach Gene Miranda, Koury took over the program at the start of the 2002-03 season.
The Falcons will play at the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas, March 14-15.
